Utopian Draconom(wall)icon Primer
Power level: high power Casual EDH (7)
Introduction (The Ur-Dragon Ultimate Casual Bolster Defender Deck)**
This is my first, most favorite and up-to "modern EDH standards" The Ur-Dragon deck, that as casual EDH-player I want to make a primer on a deck that started on Scion of the Ur-Dragon and merged into The Ur-Dragon based on "50 Creatures" with Defenders and Dragon Phalanx, combined with +1/+1 counters and trample. The deck doesn't have the best combos and relies on Creature-power and has more creatures than usual The Ur decks. Aside from the Dragons... are the Defenders and the Dragon Phalanx. The interaction is all Creature-based and relies on putting the defenders and additional creatures - the first half of the creature base - and then put the second: Dragons. 50 Creatures as stated. Eventually the presence of global Enchantments and Artifacts prevailed. There aren't many Instants and Sorceries.
>History of 25 Dragons
The deck started as a gift from a friend: Scion of the Ur-Dragon with the vision of accompanying it with Dromoka, the Eternal, Silumgar, the Drifting Death, Ojutai, Soul of Winter, some of Planar Chaos like Intet, the Dreamer and Teneb, the Harvester also eventually found their place. With recent editions Battle for Baldur's Gate and Forgotten Realms came many Dragons like: Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm, Wrathful Red Dragon, Rith, Liberated Primeval, Korlessa, Scale Singer, Firkraag, Cunning Instigator, Skyline Despot and Tiamat, including Amareth, the Lustrous and Bladewing, the Risen. Generally it was all: 50 Creatures, really, from which I always envisioned "half" 25 Dragons. Tarkir's Shieldhide Dragon, Herdchaser Dragon and Belltoll Dragon are also included because of the "Megamorph Bolster on Dragons"-mechanic. Scalelord Reckoner, Arcades, the Strategist and Nesting Dragon have place as well. Other Dragons that started with The Ur are O-Kagachi, Vengeful Kami, Tyrant's Familiar and Wasitora, Nekoru Queen which also have place. The only Sarkhan is the EDH-Sarkhan: Sarkhan Unbroken The deck is for casual play. It's only been tested several times. Seriously. I'm upgrading the deck very frequently especially with recent editions.
>Dragon Phalanx
Dragonspeaker Shaman, Magus of the Future, Taigam, Ojutai Master, Dragonkin Berserker, Dragon's Disciple, Goro-Goro, Disciple of Ryusei, Surrak Dragonclaw, Sylvia Brightspear, Arvad the Cursed.
>Bolster Counters

>Building for the Dragons
Since the deck has rarely been tested, from the games I got impression that I had a lot of firepower in the Dragons. I was slow with them, but I had defenders to protect myself. Yes, granted: the hand can come full with Dragons, but I can cast several defenders to protect myself, global enchantments and artifacts to start putting the Dragons. Building up for them. That's it for the deck: the Defenders build up for the Dragons. Really, I know I have to explain how it wins, but I have to survive the first few turns, defending myself and then I'd be able to put the Dragons.
>Draconic Additions
>Few non-Dragon spells
Dromoka's Command, Ojutai's Command, Silumgar's Command, Crux of Fate.
>Dragon Enchantments and Artifacts
Lapis Orb of Dragonkind, Jade Orb of Dragonkind, Carnelian Orb of Dragonkind, Descendants' Path, Dragon Arch, Belbe's Portal, Bard Class, Acolyte of Bahamut.
>Exclusions of Dragons
No Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius, no Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind, no Niv-Mizzet, Parun and none 5-color Niv-Mizzet Reborn. Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund can be played in Modern deck and I do play it as a matter of fact in Jund deck with Atarka, World Render, Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury and Darigaaz Reincarnated. Oh, there went the Viashino "Dragonish" Warlock: Rivaz of the Claw. Vorosh, the Hunter, Oros, the Avenger and Numot, the Devastator are also excluded since many recent Dragons came on board as said.
Conclusion
I'm open to Draconic suggestions and any kinds of ideas.
