Workshop 209 - Zaxara, the Exemplary / 100beep - CLOSED (EDH / Commander)

GENERAL:
The deck seems to contain appropriate amounts of ramp, draw, removal and threats. We identified a problem with ramp: it's all very expensive. It also looks like the land base is a little on the slow side. Tweaked some evasion, removal and general threats for the deck.

In general we're aiming to make the tokens a bigger threat and have a bigger role in the deck.

ADDITIONS:
Lots of MV 2 ramp replacing all the other, more expensive ramp. The idea here is to be able to cast Zaxara a turn early leaving us with 7 mana for turn 4.

We added Kalonian Hydra to pump up the tokens. Also added Voracious Hydra to get some removal action going. Open Into Wonder can act as a draw spell and a finisher with a lot of big tokens on the field.

Added Primal Rage for some trample action.

CUTS:
Expensive mana ramp spells. We cut Fascination because the deck has plenty of draw already and Fascination benefits our opponents as well making it the weakest draw spell in the deck.

Also removed Kruphix, God of Horizons since the deck should be able to sink all its mana into X-spells anyway so there shouldn't be need to store mana for later.

Removed Mystical Tutor for being a little out of place with the deck. There are some good targets for it but since this is not a combo deck it's a bit out of place in the deck because it's not an X-spell, it doesn't support the overall strategy and it doesn't benefit the tokens in any way. Plus it tutors on top so it's effectively card disadvantage.

Cut Evolution Sage for the reason that this is not a landfall deck and the fact that there aren't that many Hydra tokens out at any given moment. Proliferation in a tall deck like this would probably not be very viable.
