Creatures
Birds of Paradise - The deck has a demanding mana base. Also helps on land destruction, enables bigger Death Cloud, and eventually is food for Scavenging Ooze.

Cunning Sparkmage - My old favourite! It can tap twice with, Pestermite, Deceiver and Ral. Changed the other one to Izzet Staticaster as it's generally better.

Deceiver Exarch - Can tap a land to destroy it - if you have cast Spreading Algae.

Pestermite - Can tap a land to destroy it - if you have cast Spreading Algae. Can also attack!

Scavenging Ooze - It's good in many situations, like after a beefy Death Cloud.

Simian Spirit Guide - Mostly for mana acceleration, but you can also cast it to protect Ral.

Other Spells
Spreading Algae - Repeatable land destruction for , yes, pls! All you need is Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and you can cast it on anything.

Ral Zarek - Use +1 ability on a Spreding Algaed land and it's gone. The idea is to lock your opponent down, by destroying his/her lands, with Ral, Urborg and Algae. Untap is also good with Cunning Sparkmage and/or Izzet Staticaster.

Death Cloud - Helps you to clear the board & hand and destroy more lands. Ideally you cast this after Ral Zarek and get rid of everything! Birds help you to make this bigger.

Duress - Discard, and seeing your opponents hand helps you make a game plan.

Harsh Scrutiny - I like this card a lot as it has value even if the discard misses.

Sylvan Scrying - Search for Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth or something else you need.

Go for the Throat - Oh' the throat!

Grixis Charm - Return any permanent to hand or removal.

Lands
The deck has 3x Sylvan Scrying so we have a few utility lands:

Kessig Wolf Run - Enables squishies for attack, if all else is lost.

Treetop Village - Sometimes all you need is an ape.

Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth - Crucial as it enables you to cast Spreading Algae on any land.
