I made about 20 or so changes to the precon deck a few weeks back and put the list on here. I wouldn't necessarily call this budget since the deck is sitting just under or over $100 depending on the market, but a lot of that cash is sitting in a couple of cards, some of which are newer, sought after, and that I just happened to open in packs. This list could easily get down into budget range if you cut the more expensive pieces, like
Opposition Agent,
Rankle, Master of Pranks, and
Agadeem's Awakening.
Since you said you're new, I would try to focus on protecting Anowon after he's on the field so you don't have to keep recasting him. This build uses
Mirror Shield to do that, because it works on a budget, but better solutions that can be used in more decks down the line are things like
Swiftfoot Boots and
Lightning Greaves. Even
Kaya's Ghostform is really good and I'm actually kind of surprised I didn't include one here. Having several cards that protect your commander is ideal, even if I don't have that many in this build. I wouldn't say this is the best version of this deck, not by a long shot, but it's been pretty fun and at least somewhat effective in LGS play. Can't ask for too much more, especially considering budget restrictions.
