Don't want to burst your bubble, but, If I understand the companion mechanic well, a creature with that ability cannot be your commander as it isn't in your starting deck. Learned it the hard way with a Obosh rakdos deck I was trying to build. :\

I don't want to spoil your fun but you cannot run insurrection (5+3R) in your deck if you want to play by the odd rule.

Liliana, death wielder is a tough choice for me. As much as I like her effects (with minus 1 counters synergy), I know she'll most likely be targeted as soon as I cast her and since I don't have much flying (or anything to protect her from direct burn really), I don't thing that she's worth the high mana cost. I much rather tutor cards like Crumbling ashes, Necroskitter, etc...

Indeed, am planning to add at the very least the zulaport since I can actively killed my scarabs/elfs/ snakes. Do you have any suggestions for low cost draw ?

Thanks for the comment, and also for some of the ideas your deck gave me, although I'm not sure why you didn't run infect in your deck (since it has the same effect as wither + the poison counter).

Ok. First of all, take off at least one Varolz, the scar striped. If you were to put different legendary creatures, I would recommand putting in some Time of need. I don't really know why you put the death's shadow so I would take it off to make some place for 2 Crowned Ceratok and 2 Korozda Guildmage. For the first turn, I would recommand you to put some Deathrite Shaman and maybe some Slitherhead. Also, I like Jarad, golgari Lich lord.

Dragon fodder and Hordeling Outburst could be a good addition to your deck. Maybe you'd want to consider putting in a Descent of the dragons and a Thromok the insatiable.

Granuble: Appreciate the thought, but considering the fact that my mana distribution in lands perfectly matches the cost of my cards and the fact I have 8 split creatures I can pull out in the first turn. I don't think I need the split land. I actually don't like those that much, unless I play a really unbalance 2 colors deck, 3 or more. I once throught about replacing the vapor snags by Blustersquall in fact. For one, it taps a creature and it has overload for 4, but the winter flames cost too much for what it does in my opinion. I rather have a lot of low converted cost spells to buff my creatures and trigger the effects.

Hey ! Your deck is pretty nice, but I would definitely change some cards ! The Cancels, for instance, could be replaced by Counterspells and you could throw in some Vapor snags also.
