Uril-ly Can't Touch This!

a voltron commander deck - aura theme.
(still not complete, but definitely spike after testing) - kills around turn 6-9 on average, with a fast clock of turn 5.

control decks can eat at this strategy, but some outs are in the deck, and there's enough ramp (also, therefore, shuffling) to almost always keep the commander around.

straight-forward murder with a "10-Bajillion / 10-Bajillion" thing.

Wheel, Deal and Pain (Of Course)

what started from a generic nekusar shell, quickly became something resembling modern eggs.

while it is very likely the deck would win through normal means - opponents draw cards equal to or more than their life totals or nekusar infects them for fifteen or more, there are several infinite combos in the deck.

Infinite Combo 1 - bloodchief ascension + mindcrank = when ascension is active, opponents die in their draw step from amounting damage and mill.

Infinite Combo 2 - mind over matter + temple bell + nekusar = infinite tap/untaps and enough damage to kill most opponent types.

Infinite Combo 3 - (the most complex, but ironically most likely in my experience) mind over matter + mesmeric orb + notion thief + any number of hand reloading spells (i.e. - wheel of fortune) + ulamog, the infinite gyre = a more complex version of the temple bell combo, but winning via having nearly your entire deck in hand and cycling it with ulamog and hand reloading spells, discarding to mind over matter, and occasionally targeting the opponent's permanents.  This agonizingly long mill streak takes approximately sixty times of drawing the entire deck (1.25 hours) and milling around eight cards a cycle; then repeat for each opponent.  (IRL Test :: 4 player free-for-all - cycled deck a total of 287 times, taking a total of 11 hours + note taking, [divided between two days]).

In Short - nekusar deck that can become EDH eggs

Deck Reviews / [EDH / Commander] Bant Midrange

Bant Midrange

a bant aggro deck with long-game potential (though only a little).

heavy support from oddly worded ways to draw cards and get advantage via an overrun strategy, but usually just hitting for commander or a few critical strikes with a double-striker + swords.

strong against almost anything, but falls apart due to user's hubris very easily.

Can also, though rarely win by infinite lockout combo - Derevi +Deadeye + any permanent that can produce {u}{2} or more mana.  Makes infinite mana and untaps / taps an infinite number of permanents.  azami then allows infinite draws and the game is won.
